I Found a Community of Caring and Opportunity at Monmouth

“In my two years at Monmouth University, I have been overwhelmed by the access to opportunity presented to students by faculty and staff who genuinely care about our futures.

When considering my academic future, I toured several schools both small and large, public and private, and none of them offered the kind of access to mentoring and networking that I saw at Monmouth.

Being part of this community has made me feel cared for and appreciated. The scholarship I received has made an incredible difference in my college experience. I was so grateful for how it decreased the financial burden on my family and reduced my need for personal loans. This support felt like an endorsement of my abilities and gave me the confidence to excel personally and professionally.

I have been involved with our campus radio station, WMCX. I am a resident assistant in a first-year building. I was an office assistant for the Leon Hess Business Council. And currently, I serve as the president of the Student Government Association. The access to these opportunities provided mentorship and offered lessons that I would never have received from my classes alone—none of which is possible without the donor support that allowed me to choose Monmouth.

One of the most amazing things I have experienced at Monmouth has been feeling genuinely cared for by the entire Hawk family.”
