From Crunching Numbers to Changing Lives: Successful Consultant Creates Scholarship

A trailblazer in the business world, Anita L. Allen ’79 spent much of her career as a top‑performing, results-driven consulting partner with KPMG. She continues to share her knowledge and experience serving on corporate and nonprofit boards, mentoring young professionals, and conducting consulting assignments for businesses of all sizes.

Crediting much of her success to earning a Trustee Scholarship at Monmouth which covered all tuition and fees, and a professor who encouraged her to pursue a degree in accounting, Anita is hoping to provide aspiring scholars with similar experiences. Through a planned gift, Anita is creating the Jersey Shore Scholars Distinguished Endowed Scholarship.

“The support I received from Monmouth provided me with experiences I never thought I could have. I hope this scholarship delivers the same support and that fellow donors are inspired to invest in the future of Monmouth,” Anita says.

Understanding that the gift of education provides life-changing opportunities, Anita knows the long-term dividends of supporting the next generation of students through her scholarship is a sound long-term investment.
